Dated July this year, the latest tri-monthly report written by SOCP Conservation Director Ian Singleton for the Australian Orangutan Project describes what has been going on in the SOCP Quarantine Center in Batu Mbelin between April 1 and June 30 2009. Besides everyday-life including care for the orangutans and maintenance of the station, five orangutans were ransferred to the reintroduction center in Jambi while three new confiscated animals entered the quarantine.
